Only accidental by-catches of adult or sub-adult European sturgeon, declared on a voluntary basis since 2006 through the “Sturio network”, appear in the application below.

To this can be added a dozen juveniles (not shown here), born from recent artificial reproductions (since 2007), released before being recaught and then released again into the waterway network of the Gironde-Garonne-Dordogne rivers, and some specimens belonging to other sturgeon species (Siberian sturgeons for the most part) in the main French water catchments (Adour, Loire, Grand Lieu lake, Lake Leman, etc.)
